Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Now Official in China With 4100mAh Battery

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi’s latest handset is now official. As expected,  the Chinese smartphone brand is sticking with a familiar playbook, offering slick design and plenty of specs without breaking the bank. With local domestic rivals already taking over the  smartphone market, Note 4 launch might be the needed boost to get Xiaomi brand back on track. 

Spotting a 5.5 inches display and running on Xiaomi’s feature-rich MIUI interface based on top of Android 6 Marshmallow, the Redmi Note 4 is built to be tough and good-looking.

The Note 4 goes on sale in China today from Mi.com, with prices starting at RMB 899 (around $135) for 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, or RMB 1,199 ($180) for the version with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage.

Its body is made out of metal and comes in iPhone-Presque dark grey, bright silver and gold versions. There are two versions which both running on the 10-core MediaTek Helio X20 system chip; 2GB of Ram and 16GB of internal storage, while the other is equipped with 3GB of Ram and 64GB of internal storage.

 There’s currently no word on if and when it’ll land in other markets. Android Authority reports that Xiaomi is still banned from using MediaTek processors in India due to a legal battle with Ericsson.
